A hook is a concern a great deal of golf players do not see until they get a a lot more experienced, generally after attempting to correct another problem. Figuring out ways to play a bit of a hook is nice; having it corrupt your drives is a catastrophe. To eradicate your hook you're best to look at the basics first.
Fixing a hook could be easy once you understand that it is brought on by spinning the ball too much. It can be accentuated by pulling the club just as you hit your ball, but it always is all about spin or unwelcome spin. Most times it's your grip you should check first. Be sure you could see three knuckles on your left hand when setting up for your shot. If that is right, look at your swing to see if you happen to be rolling your wrists towards the target precisely as you hit the shot. This is actually the main root cause of a hook shot. This is because this closes the club face just as you hit the ball, creating the unwanted spin.
Fixing a hook can be just a small difficulty similar to rolling your wrists when coming through the golf ball. What is going on is you happen to be closing the club face at the point of impact. This usually causes a lots of reverse spin and gives the ball a hook or a snap hook.
If you want to straighten out your ball, relax your grip. Try not to put too much pressure on the club. You should feel like you are shaking hands with a friend and not trying to crush their fingers. The position of your hands on the club determines how strong a grip you have. Try rotating your hands slightly until you can still control the club and the club strikes the ball with a more open face.Your stance can also be the cause of your errant shot. A closed stance should be opened or at least made neutral. Hook repair does not come instantly. You have to experiment with slight changes until you are satisfied with your shot.
To be able to fix any golf shot that's going errant, in most cases preferable to examine the spin you're getting on the golf ball not the amount your aim is off. The only exception is if you are pulling the shot, and this will cause the ball to go to the left of the target line although not allow it to curl to the left. So if you see the ball turning as it flies it is because of the spin you put on the ball.
